2006 U.S. Junior Closed Squash Championships (Gold)

March 10th - 12th, 2006, Yale University, New Haven, CT

Entry Deadline

Entries and payments must be received by Friday, February 17th, 2006, 5:00 PM EST. No phone or fax entries accepted. No refunds will be provided after the Entry Deadline.

Divisions

Players must be of age for their age division through the last day of the tournament.

U13, U15, U17, U19

Eligibility

Players must be of age for their age division through the last day of the tournament. Tournament open to U.S. citizens and residents only. U.S. citizens and residents must be current US Squash members through the last day of the tournament. Players must have played in at least three US Squash sanctioned tournament in the division entered. In the event there are more than 32 entrants in any division the player rankings as of 5PM EST February 27th, 2006 will determine eligibility.

Format and Scoring

The tournament will be full feed in consolation. Matches will be best 3 out of 5 games to 9 points international scoring.

Final Cut List and Start Times

Final Cut List will be posted to www.us-squash.org on February 28th, 2006. Division start times will be posted to www.us-squash.org on March 3rd, 2006. Player start times will be posted to www.us-squash.org on March 7th, 2006.

Tournament Registration

Registration will occur at Yale University's Payne Whitney Gym Lobby beginning from 5:00-8:00pm Thursday, March 9th, 2006 and Friday, March10th beginning 8:00am.

Tournament Location and Information

The tournament will be held at Yale University's Brady Center. Lockers and towels will not be provided.

Transportation and Parking

Parking is limited near the Yale University facility.

Event Schedule

Players must be prepared to play at 8:00am on Friday, March 10th.

Meals

Lunch coupons for local New Haven restaurants will be provided for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

TOURNAMENT POLICIES

Attire

Competitors must wear appropriate squash attire.

Ball

Dunlop Revelation Pro (double yellow dot) will be the official ball.

Code of Conduct

The US Squash Code of Conduct and Junior Guidebook Rules and Regulations apply.

Divisions

Players may only play in one division.

Protective Eyewear

ASTM-F803 approved protective eyewear must be worn by all players at all times while on court. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

Refereeing

Winner of matches will be required to referee a match during the next scheduled match time. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

Refunds

No refunds will be provided to players eligible for the tournament after the Entry Deadline. Refunds will be provided to ineligible entrants.

Sanctioning

The tournament is US Squash Sanctioned.
