2006 United States Hardball Squash Championships

February 24th - 26th, 2006, Merion Cricket Club, Haverford, PA

Entry Deadline

Entries and payments must be received by Monday, February 13th, 2006, 5:00 PM EST. No phone or fax entries accepted. No refunds will be provided after the Entry Deadline.

Divisions

Draws with fewer than four entrants may be combined. If it is necessary to combine age groups or skill levels, entrants will be moved to a younger age group or higher skill level. Draws may be limited in size if necessary. Players may only play in one division.

Women's Divisions Open, 40+

Men's Divisions Open, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, 75+, 80+, 85+

Eligibility

Players must be of age for their division by February 23rd, 2006. U.S. citizens and residents must be current US Squash members through the last of the tournament.

Format and Scoring

The tournament will be full feed in consolation. Matches will be best 3 out of 5 games with the 15 point-a-rally scoring.

Final Cut List and Start Times

Final Cut List will be posted to www.us-squash.org on February 15th, 2006.
Player start times will be posted to www.us-squash.org on February 20th, 2006.

Tournament Registration

Registration will begin on Friday, February 24th at 4:00pm in the Sports Lounge of the Merion Cricket Club.

Tournament Location and Information

The tournament will be held at The Merion Cricket Club and The Shipley School, Haverford, PA.

Transportation and Parking

Parking is available at the club and school.

Accommodations

Special rates of $79 single occupancy, $89 for double occupancy may be secured at the Radnor Hotel at (610) 688-5800. Please mention "US Squash Nationals". The hotel is located 15 minutes from the tournament site.

Event Schedule and Meals

Light breakfast and lunch will be served Saturday and Sunday in the Sports Lounge. Cocktails and dinner will be provided on Saturday night at The Merion Cricket Club. On Friday the Cricket Room Restaurant will accept cash for those who wish to dine there. Dress is informal.

Pro Shop

Players may make cash purchases at the Merion Pro Shop.

TOURNAMENT POLICIES

Attire

Competitors must wear white squash attire only.

Ball

Dunlop Hardball will be the official ball.

Code of Conduct

The US Squash Code of Conduct applies.

Protective Eyewear

ASTM-F803 approved protective eyewear must be worn by all players at all times while on court. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

Refereeing

Winner of matches will be required to referee a match during the next scheduled match time. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

Refunds

No refunds will be provided after the Entry Deadline.

Sanctioning

The tournament is US Squash Sanctioned.
