2007-2008 US Squash Scholar-Athlete Award
Information
US Squash is pleased to grant the US Squash Scholar-Athlete Award to high school students who excel in both school and squash. High school students who have a 3.5 GPA or higher at the end of the school year and a US Squash ranking at the end of the season are eligible to apply.

Eligibility
- Must be a US Squash member.
- Must have successfully passed the Referee Exam
- Must have an end of season ranking in Boys' or Girls' U15, U17 or U19.
- Must have completed 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade.
- Must have a 3.5 or higher GPA based on the official year-end high school transcript.
- Foreign tournaments are not counted in the calculations.
Application Process
- Must complete the US Squash Scholar-Athlete Award application.
- The official year-end high school transcript must be included or sent separately by the school. The transcript must include the official school seal, be signed by the school guidance counselor or principal and sent in a separate envelope signed across the back by the school official.
- Mail it to: US Squash, Scholar-Athlete Award Committee, 555 Eighth Avenue, Suite 1102, New York, NY 10018. Faxes and emails are not acceptable.
- Applications are based only on the high school transcript and ranking during the same year.
- The application deadline is August 1, 2007. Late applications will not be accepted.
- There is a $50 processing fee required for each application
Awards
- Three certificates will be sent to the US Squash Scholar-Athlete to be distributed to the athlete, school, and the squash club or program.
- An outstanding achievement award will be given to semi-finalists at the US Junior Championship.
- Special recognition will be awarded for a 4.0 GPA.
- A special award will be given for each scholar-athlete named all four years (or three years since the initial program in 2006).
- The US Squash Scholar-Athletes will be announced on the US Squash website.
- Awards will be mailed in the Fall of the application year.
- The applicant will receive email confirmation of a completed application, including both application and official year-end high school transcript. If an acknowledgement is not received, please contact US Squash.
