Why Rules and Referees?

Squash is an inherently dangerous game with important rules that can affect match outcomes. The presence of qualified referees and markers enhances safety and produces fairer outcomes.

North American Doubles Rules Examination Directions

The North American Doubles Rules Examination requires passing the 50-question examination with a score of 80% or higher.

Testing Procedures

  1. Complete the exam by filling in the answer sheet. The Examination is self-administered. You may take as long as you wish to complete the examination. Normally, it takes about one hour to complete.

  2. Mail the completed answer sheet (please keep the test questions) directly to US Squash for grading:
    US Squash, P.O. Box 1216, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004-1216

  3. Reporting Results
    a) US Squash will notify every candidate of the score achieved and the question(s) missed.
    b) For candidates who do not attain a score of 80%, the same 65-question examination should be retaken and a new answer sheet submitted to US Squash. The results will be forwarded as indicated above.
