US Squash National Network
The following is an explanation of how US Squash is geographically defined by: Region, District and Group.
Region
An attempt has been made to divide the nation into 8 equal parts, with an eye toward player base, member clubs and number of courts. Given the dramatic differences in player and court density across the country, the balance is difficult to achieve.
District
To qualify for District status an area is required to have a minimum of 3 member clubs and 150 individual members. District size varies dramatically. Two of these districts are the Men's and Women's intercollegiate Associations.
Group
US Squash will recognize an area and offer Group status, when and if such an area believes that within three years it can fully qualify for District status - having a minimum of 50 US Squash members and 3 US Squash Member Clubs. An extension will be granted, if it is determined sufficient progress is being made annually. Application for group status should be made to the US Squash office.
