Women's Tournament Selection Events
National Team Candidates must compete in a minimum of four officially designated
Tournament Selection Events. One of the four events must be the required US Championships
Women's Open to be held March 13 - March 17, 2002 at Yale University in New Haven CT.
Candidates may choose any additional three events from the Women's Tour Selection Events
list. National Team Candidates must be entered in the top women's draw of each event. The
top draw must be an Open, A, 6.0, 5.5, or 5.0 draw to qualify as a Tournament Selection
Event.
A Squad Training may also be included as a Women's Tournament Selection Event. The
specifics of a 2002 Squad Training(s) have not yet been determined but typically they are
held in the summer. Only a single Squad Training can qualify as a Tournament Selection
Event.
